A journeyman NHLer, this Michigan native was once considered as a good goal scoring power forward. Why do I collect him? During the 2004-05 lockout season his Predators teammate Kimmo Timonen, at the time, asked him to play in Finland and KalPa Kuopio, then in the 2nd-highest league here. KalPa won the Mestis-championship that season and was promoted to the SM-Liiga in which they've been ever since. Hall quickly became a fan favorite in Kuopio being a real professional and a great all around player as well. In 2013-14 Hall and Timonen were reunited in the Philadelphia Flyers. Now plays in the Swiss NLA.
TEEMU HARTIKAINEN
This younger generation NHL player from KalPa Kuopio returned to Europe after three seasons (52 NHL games) in North America. Teemu now plays for Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the KHL. He was the Finnish SM-Liiga Rookie of the Year in 2009. An unusual KalPa player, more a big power forward type than a skilled smallish speedster. Hoping he'll return to the NHL in the near future.
